Third of May / Ōdaigahara

Paintings and Video by Sing-Sing

Robin Pecknold (of Fleet Foxes) asked us to make a piece inspired by Helen Frankenthaler's work. Together, we devised a process to make real-time paintings move. Each slow-motion shot, at 8 seconds long, turns into a beautiful narrative that matches the landscape of the song. The paintings also serve as a larger story to the Fleet Foxes album and stage / tour design.
